i’ve been thinking about this blog post for days on end now. the one where i would attempt to explain what is in my heart at such a pivotal moment in my life, but how does one explain the thoughts, fears & desires of something so wicked as the heart? how do i begin to unravel how i am thrilled beyond anything i thought was possible, and scared out of my mind at the same time?

if you follow me on twitter or facebook at all you know all i have done is talk about & spray paint for this bridal shower! all of the tea pots, cups, vases, candles holders, cake stands, etc. were bought at the local junk store, antique stores & the goodwill! (never under estimate the goodwill for amazing finds!) this party can also be redesigned for a baby shower, or birthday party.

twenty-five things i want to accomplish in the next twenty-five years. | courtney cooper rosen

1. personally lead someone to Jesus Christ. i even know who i want it to be. (this got crossed of the list on 3-30-2010!!!!!!!!! one day after i made the list.)

2. see my children accept Jesus Christ & get baptized.

3. celebrate my 31st wedding anniversary with my hott husband.

4. see my children graduate from high school & start college.

5. co-author (with vanessa baker) a series on abstinence until marriage for teens.

6. document & produce different people’s struggles with homelessness, alcohol & drugs, and their victory overcoming these things through Christ.

7. work as a freelance journalist & get published in different magazines.

8. donate my time & talents to an inner-city mission to the point of helping change at least one person’s life.

9. learn to play the piano.

10. host a photography workshop.

11. visit italy with the love of my life.

12. master the art of being a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

13. go on a mission trip in the united states.

14. run in & first in 1st place (for the girls) in a 5K.

15. act as a mentor to high school girls & get involved in their lives.

16. finish visiting every state in the united states.

17. win a chili cook off.

18. have my photography published on the cover of a magazine.

19. compile & publish my coffee table book about living in a trailer park.

20. go sky diving. (i’m deathly afraid of heights. like i’ll probably have a panic attack right before we jump.)

21. slow dance with my husband at my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary – april 4th, 2031.

22. go on a mission trip out of the country. like way out. like africa out.

23. take my parents on vacation & not let them spend a dime.

24. gross 100K in one year with my business.

25. celebrate my 50th birthday.

kids don’t get any cutter than mine! then again i may be a little bias, but you can’t deny their hottness! i am always so busy taking everyone else pictures that my own family and kids get shoved to the back burner. well monday afternoon i had both the girls with me all day because t-m was sick. we starting getting bored so i asked her how would she feel about a photoshoot? she obliged of course. i even let her pick out their outfits. she’s such a rockstar. time to take urban pictures of my kids, where else would i go besides the big statham alley ways.

these were all edited with totally rad actions. i use them on everything!!! i love them!
